Survive Prostate Cancer

You have just gotten the diagnosis from your physician: you have prostate cancer.

Your first reaction may be fear or panic. Your next reaction may be to gather all the information you can about your treatment options and outlook for recovery.

Listening carefully to your physician's summary of your choices is the first step. The internet can also be a useful source of information. But you probably still will be left with many unanswered questions.

Prostate cancer survivors can be a key resource in the days and weeks after diagnosis, as you grapple with the many treatment options. Talking to survivors - men who have been through a specific treatment and can share their own experience - will help you learn what to expect during and after various procedures.

The goal of this web site is to provide support to men recently diagnosed with prostate cancer by putting them in contact with survivors and to offer a brief synposis of different treatment methods available. This site is not intended to provide detailed medical advice.
